Registered Behavior Technician Training Program
This 40-Hour RBT Training will increase your competency and extend your expertise.
The BACB has created the RBT credential especially for those who provide services in the classroom or home for children with disabilities. Support staff and team members are to have the credential. The RBT training will cover all of the tasks in the RBT Task List and the Ethical requirements designated as being relevant for behavior technicians. This program is offered independently as a training course.

The RBT Program consists of modules, each containing a narrated presentation and a short quiz at the end of each module. Successful completion of the course requires sequential completion of each module and quiz. At this point the student will be provided with a Certificate of Completion for use with additional requirements for the RBT credential.
What will you learn?
This training course teaches evidence-based behavior intervention techniques and strategies for individuals including but not limited to: Data Measurement, Assessment, Skill Acquisition, Behavior Reduction, Documentation and Reporting, Professional Conduct and Scope of Practice. The RBT training will cover all of the tasks in the RBT Task List and the ethics requirements designated as being relevant for behavior technicians.
Training for Educators
For educators and other professionals who would like to learn evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and strategies for helping students or clients with developmental behavior challenges.
Advance Your Career
Training covers a variety of topics that are necessary for an individual looking to pursue a career as a Behavior Technician. This training prepare you to work directly with individuals diagnosed with Autism or other developmental disabilities.
Training for Parents
Parents would benefit from ABA Training. If you have a child who is developmentally challenged or experiencing challenging behavior, you will find the skills taught that help greatly in dealing with ABA professionals and/or educators, if you have a child who is developmentally challenged or experiencing challenging behavior

This RBT training program is based on the Registered Behavior Technician Task List and is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for the RBT credential.
Why is the credential important to agencies and therapists?
Agencies can rest assured knowing that they’re Behavior Therapist are credentialed RBTs, knowing they are providing the most effective treatment to their clients. The RBT credential signifies a higher standard of service. RBTs are in fact better trained, more qualified, and more reputable than therapists without the credential.
RBT Credential Process
In order for you to obtain the RBT credential through the BACB, you must complete the following steps:
- At least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Pass a Level 2 Criminal Background Check
- Complete the 40-hour RBT training course (this course)
- Pass the RBT Examination within 180 days of the official start date
- You must receive a passing score in each of the assessments
- You will receive a certificate at the end of this course
- Locate a BCBA to complete the RBT competency assessment (we provide one if you decide to work for us)

- The BCBA must sign off on the RBT competency
- Sign up (and pay the exam fee), complete, and pass the RBT exam
